Nicest squirrel gallery that I have seen. Love the captions, they fit the images bery well. We get Fox & ground squirrels. The fox look like your red ones. Big~ (V)

Thanks, and sure, go ahead and use some squirrels for personal items. The resolution isn't really high enough for printing, I don't think, but you may try.

These are so wonderful! I thoroughly enjoyed your gallery. I met the little furries for the first time when I was in the US this year (first time there). They are so cute. I mean, I can understand they are treated as pests, after all, they can chew their way into your house, but anyway, I find them simply adorable! Thank you for sharing these!

Sorry, I never come back to look for your reply! ;-) I have the non-IS one and yes, with a little bit of Photoshop help, photos can be brought to this clarity. However, I always need a tripod to stabilize my camera when using this lens. Great work!

Phyllis, you've managed to capture such hilarious portraits of these little tree rats that I have to ask: how & where do you catch them? Nice squirrel images and good captions too. From your comments in my gallery I see we're using the same model of lens, the 75-300mm IS. I find it versatile and good value for the money.

Sorry I never answered ...yes, I do have the IS version of the lens. In answer to the previous questin...yes, I did some Photoshop work on them, sharpened a bit and brightened the ones that were in shade or had distracting shadows.

Hi Phyllis, nice photos taken using the 75-300mm lens. Does your lens comes with IS? Did you do any touch-ups with the photos? They delivered amazing clarity! Thanks, Vikki. Tell your husband just to put out more sunflower seeds to satiate the squirrels, and there will be plenty left for the birdies! My whole deck is "crunchy" with corn and seeds in the morning. Messy for a while, but the squirrels and chipmunks and ducks and birdies clean it up in a few hours...but of course leave a different sort of mess in its place! Oh well, that's what hoses are for! I wouldn't give up my critters and birdies for a neat deck! What good is a clean deck if it's devoid of wildlife? :)

Phyllis these are great photos! p.s. If my husband knew I was admiring "squirrels" he'd probably be horrified. They are driving him up a wall, stealing his bird seed. These are cute though....
