Shady Ringo, the pictures you are speaking of, in the first gallery of "country cousins," were all taken in western Pennsylvania, the state where I grew up. I now live in Illinois, not as pretty since it lacks the hills and forests, but nice in its own way with the cornfields and parks...and lots of kids to photograph!

It was wonderful stopping by your gallery - these kids are extremely lucky to have you around with your camera. You have mastered the art of capturing their expressions, however fleeting. I particularly like the shot by the campfire - an excellent result in a virtually impossible photographtic situation!

You know my favorite. But "Bright Eyes" runs a close 2nd for me. All of these are wonderful. Children make the best subjects.
