This image was done in Photoshop following the basic method given in my tute here: http://www.innographx.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=947 It involves hand work with the smudge tool. If you aren't used to smudging images, see the smudging tute in the same forum. I also added hand tool work with the dodge tool to emphasize the shape and exaggerate highlights, then followed with a sandstone texture overall.
