Getting back to Anna's question will help, Jody. To define the pupil, I placed a black dot with the round brush over the pupil with the brush set to overlay mode. The mascara was removed by cloning bits of skin over the affected areas with the rubber stamp tool. The eyelashes were brushed on with the smudge tool set to darken mode at opacity around 85% or so. Again, we have tutes on the innographx.com/forum site and also the retouching challenges contain explanations of what folks did to the pictures there.

Phyllis, I've often admired this gallery and the retouches are like miracles! It would be wonderful if you could add some links in the captions to your other site, where one could learn how each picture was changed. There are so many great tips that I only can go over one at a time. How do you define the pupill, for instance. And the mascara cleanup is great. It's a WOW.
