I'd never have guessed that was from a linen print
or that it had ever been blurry as a result.
Great work. Glad the shot, if not the negative, survived!

Phyllis,
thanks for visiting my galleries and leaving your nice comments.
I really like this photo. The light in the eyes, the leaves stuck to the sweater hood, the blurred out background and the "waiting moment" of "when" the leaves will be thrown by this true photographically emblem of what childhood should be like... all perfect!

A wonderful, caught-in-a-moment shot, which is beautiful. fantastic tones, expression, and the highlights in the eyes give out a gorgeous and mischievious twinkle. Adorable!

Thanks, Gina, it's one of my favorite photos of all time. I had an 11 x 14 enlargement that used to hang on the wall of my first apartment, but it was destroyed in a flood. Too bad I didn't have the negative to scan from, since it loses so much crispness and clarity being scanned from a 4 x 6 linen finish pic...the scanner descreens it but adds blur in the process. I patched it up with Photoshop, but the look is still not the same. :(
