Thanks, Julie. These are all sharpened somewhat in Photoshop to give crisper edges... try it!

Thanks, Jinder. Canon IS 70-300mm. It's not a very good lens, but it does have Image Stabilization, which helps a lot since I'm not very steady and don't like to carry a tripod/monopod around. But it was a good deal for under $300, so I can't complain I suppose. I wish they'd come out with a mid-priced better quality IS lens...so far the next one up is a really heavy pro model that costs more than my camera and all three lenses put together. Till they do, guess I'll be using this one.

Enjoyed visiting your bird gallery. I like your capture of the Grackle as well. I couldn't get close enough to get good detail nor (too much of) the luminescent blue. I'm guessing these are taken with the 75-300mm IS. This is my most used lens.
