Biking down from Messina we took the Taormina turnoff and doubled back along the coast road to reach this spectacular eagle's nest. In March it was very peaceful and we found a little cafe on the way up to the Castello, a great little oasis with the grocer across the alley. Here we even got to know there are a couple of Bed & Breakfast places so next time we can spend a day or two here as a good base.

I was at Forza D'Agro` a couple of years ago where I met up with a very good friend of mine, Mario Bianca, whom was actually born there.
He took me on a beautiful tour and introduced me to all his cousins, basically the whole town......
I would like to say that it is a beautiful little paese graced by nature, and I just hope that the Americans don't get there too soon.
I had a fantastic time at Forza and I hope that one day I can return.
Hey Mario, maybe one day we can retire there!?!

I have been there 2 years ago, I was really impressed by the quiet little town. At 12 hours the clocks played "ave maria", great moment...
