The Altar of the Nation where the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is. It also houses the
Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento, the Library and the Central
Museum of the Risorgimento. The colossal monument was dedicated to Italy's first King,
Vittorio Emanuele II with his equestrian statue at the center.
