Stuck Deer

May 3rd

My brother and I came upon what we thought was a deer stuck in the 4 foot plus snow, but when we got out to try and help it, we saw that it had been hit by a truck and it's hind legs were shattered. She was destined to die a slow death. We contacted Game and Fish, but I doubt they came out this far to do anything.
While the 4 foot of snow we got is hard on the human inhabitats, it has to take a terrible toll on the wildlife.

A sad situation. Hopefully the cold snow numbed the pain in her legs. Once upon a time a wolf would have ended her suffering. Did you just leave her behind? Hopefully her suffering ended soon.

A sad scene. We humans' take life for granted and seeing reality sometimes is difficult. Craig Kitchen
