Prairie Sky

March 21st

The snow has melted on the prairie and is working it's way up the foothills. March can be such a long month.

Very nice shot. I wouldn't normally like the centered fence post but in this case I think it adds to the feeling of tension I get from this image.

Hi Don,
Thanks again for your kind words. I am very much an amatuer but here is my workflow.
I am presently using a Nikon D40, a very low end "beginner" camera. I shoot a great majority of my shots on the "P" program mode...I can adjust shutter speed which I mainly do to try and avoid blur when I'm taking pics of Buddy, my fast moving dog. I d/l the pics to "My Pics" on my computer. I then use an editing program I think I got with a Canon camera a few years ago called Photo Impressions, to re-size to 800 and hit the "fix" button.I then use IRfan View to auto adjust colors and sharpen once. Thats it.
Thanks again, Al
