Open Cut

Former home of The Homestake Gold Mine. In it's heyday it employed over 2000 miners. The underground portion of the mine is over 8000 ft deep and in it's 120 yr history it claimed over 200 lives. Everyone knows of "Black Hills Gold."

Nice use of the houses for perspective. That is huge. Interesting effect with the terracing for the roads. Great find and POV.
