:: On the Job ::
I was one of the first women in the USA to climb poles for the phone company. I did that job for 12 years before I was elected to serve my union, the CWA in 1984. I retired in 1998 after 30 years with the company at age 50.

:: Playing music at the Little Shamrock in San Francisco ::
40 years ago I performed Irish folk music...sometimes with my father, at various places in San Francisco. I had a regular gig at the historic Little Shamrock in those days. These are the only pictures that survived from those days.
:: Luscious jewels ::
When I was a little girl, I was fascinated with my kaleidoscope. I loved the jewel tones and shapes that always changed. I thought it was magic and that there were hidden jewels inside. One day I took my kaleidoscope apart and was disappointed to find just pieces of glass instead of real jewels. But I never lost the love of color and design.
Now I have a computer program that allows me to create Kaleidoscopes from my photos. I find the best subjects are stained glass, my embroidery work and some fine art reproductions. I have had lots of enjoyment creating and experimenting with these images and I like to put them all on slide show and let them run as a feast for the eyes. That is why I am posting some of these pieces here so they can be viewed as a slide show. I hope others will enjoy it as much as I have.

:: A Touch of Holland in San Francisco ::
Qween Whilemena's Garden is at the base of the North Windmill in Golden Gate Park. The Windmill is full functional and circulates water thruout the park. The Gardeners do a fantastic job each year to create this wonderful display. The best time to see it is in late March after the rain.
:: Our House ::
Our little house in San Francisco has undergone several major renovations since 1977 when we first moved in. At Christmas 1996 we had a major fire and lost everything. We lived in a hotel room for 9 months with our two Border Collies while the house was rebuilt. In 2005, we added craft rooms...sewing studio for me and a train room for Tom.
It has taken over 3 decades, but the house is finally just as we always wanted it to be.
