Thank you for your comments on my gallery “Some Residents of the Butterfly Garden at the Detroit Zoo”. Ms. Laura Palombi, Associate Curator of Invertebrates at the Detroit Zoo, has requested permission to use photographs in this gallery to develop a booklet on the Butterfly Garden. With her assistance I am photographing a number of select butterflies shortly after they have emerged from their chrysalises. Therefore, the gallery contains some of the lesser known species obtained in this manner.

There is no monetary compensation involved in this project. This is all just for plain fun. Thanks again for your comments on the photos. They are much appreciated.

Sounds like a great project, I'm hoping to do some similar work for my sister's Wildlife center, though the commute is a bit painful ;o) Very nice shot! -BJ
