By the way, the police officer and I agreed to put on solemn expressions for this photograph, and the other police officer
who used my camera to take this photo was laughing his head off!!!

I think we've all be guilty of doing this, and though I try not these days, shooting on public property we can still be hassled. I'm fortunate police around my area are aware, even though most people aren't. I've had two "run in's", one with a security guard. He physically demanded me inside the store from the street. After speaking with police on the phone, they sent an officer who informed the security I could press charges for coercion, battery and probably kid napping. I didn't, and doubt the guy will do it ever again.
It all seems a bit silly though, since there's few places we're not on camera in public these days anyway. I read an article recently which said there are places running ads in papers, & TV suggesting people report photographers who look suspicious. Gave me the feeling things are going to get a lot worse. Best we know our rights, and not cross the line. Good series of shots, love this one.
