The USS Vestal AR 4 was a repair ship moored alongside USS Arizona off Ford Island to provide services to the Arizona. She was heavily damaged on
December 7 and suffered seven casualties. However, she continued her naval duties until 1946.

My grandfather served on her from 1944-1945. She was a good ship.
