Lower Slaughter

Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds

The name of the village of Lower Slaughter stems from the Old English name for a wet land 'slough' or 'slothre' (Old English for muddy place)
upon which it lies. This quaint village sits beside the little Eye stream and is known for it's unspoiled limestone cottages in the
traditional Cotswold style.

A magical feeling it gives and thank you for clearing the idea of the name, otherwise it would have been too horrile to think of :) V

Hi Jay,
This is such a beautiful scene! I can't imagine those cottages ever looking brand new. They look so perfect and eternal as if they somehow alway existed. Excellent POV with the path leading right into the scene. \/
