A few photos from an annual boy's weekend of fishing at Mount Massive Lakes in Leadville, Colorado. This was the perfect opportunity to offer "Maria" a great Colorado trout workout. Maria is the centerpiece of a traveling rod project coordinated by some fly fishing skiers chatting on the internet. Maria was hand-built in Michigan's UP, and is making her way across the country from angler to angler, and species to species. I felt honored to participate in this experience. A sweet flexing 6wt, Maria proved to be just perfect for the large trout of this private hatchery.
