Eve And Our American Ironhorse Texas Chopper

While I really love the Venture, both Eve and I have always prefered a bike that didn't have the windshield/bags/fairings etc. that is really needed up here in the cold, white North.
I finally decided if I was going to have a "interesting" bike, I'd better do it soon, so I been looking on Cycle Trader, Craigslist, etc. for several weeks. Yesterday I bought this 2004 Texas Chopper with only 6,275 miles on it 125 miles away in Madison, WI.
Original base price on these was $28,200 but most bikes were ordered up with extras. This one has the standard S&S 111 Cubic Inch (1819 cc) engine that puts out around 110 HP, and is hooked to an optional 6-speed transmission. A previous owner added the FSD exhaust and custom grips, levers and pegs and custom mirrors. The seats are custom and covered in Ostrich hide.
This bike sits 5 1/2 inches lower and weighs almost 300 pounds less that our Venture but has WAY more power. You got to be careful in 1st and 2nd gear with the throttle, especially in turns cause things happen pretty fast.
Eve has been begging for a ride, but I've been putting her off till I get a little more used to the bike, and until I get a sissy bar installed.
