Eve and I have been wanting to visit the National Rail Road Museum In Green Bay Wisconsin For a long time...Today we finally made it.
The origins of this museum date back to 1956 with an attempt to acquire one steam engine for a city park and mushroomed into becoming one of the largest rail road museums in the country. We spent 5 hours there today and could easily have stayed longer. The only gripe I have is that the indoor displays have absolutely HORRENDOUS lighting...Bulbs of different color temperature haphazardly stung out inside the cabs...and ALWAYS in the way of your photo...It's OK if your just walking through and looking, but forget about getting any decent photos. If your planning on photographing inside the trains be sure to bring the lighting equipment you need. Luckily the weather was perfect for shooting outdoors, and Eve was feelin a bit frisky, so while the indoor shots leave a lot to be desired, I think we made up for it outside.
