Eve and I took a 249 mile bike ride to Chippewa Falls and The Irvine Park Zoo today. We hit a little rain leaving home, but the rest of the day turned out pretty good. I had been to Irvine Park once before...when I was about 5 or 6 years old (about 1957 or 1958)...and needless to say I didn't remember a whole lot about it. The "Zoo" wasn't much. It took maybe 20 minutes to go through all of it, including the petting zoo. The old school house and the 1881 log cabin weren't open till later in the day and we decided not to wait...sooo...there aren't a whole lot of photos.
On the way home we did stop at one of my old watering holes from the early/mid-1970's and had lunch and a couple Cokes...was kind of fun going somewhere I hadn't been in maybe 40 years..!!
