I've always liked the way infrared photography looked and the other night got to wondering if it could be accomplished with a digital camera. After reading a few articles on line, I did some experiments. First using a Cokin #3 deep red filter and later just doing the effects in Photoshop. The advantage with Photoshop is normal exposure times and the "look" seems the same. (I have version 8.0) Using "IMAGE" then "ADJUSTMENTS" and then playing with the "EQUALIZE" and the "CURVES" function I was able to get the following results. Please remember these are my first attempts.
