When we bought this place almost 6 years ago, the garage was basically a dungen. Cracked cement floor that was badly stained. No ceiling, no paneling on walls. Electrical outlets and lights mismatched and cheap quality, etc.
I really wish I had taken photos before I started cleaning up. The earliest photos here are from the following spring after I had cleaned good and was starting to pull out all the old electrical wiring, outlets and switches. It looks a whole lot better in my earliest photos than it did when we first moved in.
The floor alone cost a bit over $6,000.00 That and the ceiling is the only thing I didn't do myself although I did get an electrician to hook everything into the breaker box. I did all the installation and wiring myself so basically I did everything electrical except for about 15 or 20 minutes work.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
