Monday June 18 Eve had to go to The Philippine Consulate in Chicago to renew her passport...and of course I got to drive her. We rented a new Chevy Impala for the 508 mile round trip as I didn't trust either of our vehicles that far from home.
While Eve was doing her thing, I wandered around The South Side of Chicago...in the Baddest Part of town snapping photos of MetroRail and AmTrack trains. (Actually, I was only a couple miles South of downtown Chicago, and the Baddest Part of town is much further South)
I wish I'd have had more time to explore a bit...I only had about an hour and a half from the time I dropped Eve off until we were heading back and I would have loved to have gotten into the "older" sections...as in more run down, and where there were freight trains and industrial switchers.
