The Ponoka Stampede is one of the biggest in Canada and is a six day event. It is put on with lots of class. It is non stop and flows smooth. It is a Pro Rodeo and has all the events, from Saddlebronks to Bull Riding... It is always held in the last part of June to the July Long Weekend {Canada Day}. It is well attended and a place where you can chose how close you want to be to the action. It is my favorite stampede and know a lot of the people in it. Knew the Dorchesters from pigeon lake and found Tommy a down to earth person. I try not to miss this stampede I try to take in a couple of days. "I Do Not sell Stampede photos, they are to show how good it is." Hope it brings people to Alberta.
