They just love the grain...this year I have never seen the variety of food people will feed them. If you give them a cherry, they will drop it, if they get the taste of one inside they like it. Their favorite still is bread. The way I feel is that they seem to put on weight and always fly away in the fall, so it can't be all that bad. Another way of looking at it is, they have had about five months of easy living before going south.
