At this time Alberta is facing the biggest disaster Canada has ever seen... Albertan's are coming together as always to look after one another in such a tragic even.. Over 100,000 people in Calgary have left there home and many have nothing to come back to. High River south of Calgary has just be told to leave the City.. It is unreal... there is not insurance that will cover the homeowner.
at this minute Medicine Hat has be told to evacuate there city.. I do not know how many city's are along the rivers waiting to see what will happen next... I have family in Calgary, they are ok as they are on higher ground...
I am proud to be an Albertan.. coming together in a state of emergency. Calgary and southern Alberta handled with so well under such conditions. So many people effected and working together, what a team... This just showed the world why Canada is number one... a place where they would like to live.. and Alberta being the best place... I will be caring that flag on "Canada Day". My heart goes out to Calgary and surrounding areas. you will make it... We are Albertans... the people who care about each other....
Follow the news, this is a really eye opener for the rest of the world.. A place in the world that cares so much for each other..
We will not be defeated.... We will move forward to face another day... It is not over the flooding is still going strong with possible rains coming again..
