I came across this gentleman south of Jasper about 10 kilometers. Stopped and talk to him and found him very interesting. He has taken photos all over the states and was making his way home from Alaska. He was a purest of B & W photography. I was watching him take spot reading with his meter and then talking into a voice recorder with the information. He told me it took days to perfect a print in the darkroom. Then he told me something that blew me away. He was a classmate of Ansel Adams the best B & W photographer in the world. I looked at many of Ansel Adams books and was really impressed. The bigest error of the day was not getting his name. I would of like to see some of his work. Maybe someone knows who he is and what his name is. If so let me know.
