Jasper National Park, Alberta

Anything to get that perfect photo. Where the tripod is, is only a foot deep. I went out to three feet of water for some of the others. I was out three mornings in a row waiting for the light to fall on the mountain. It happened on the last day. The mountain lake water was pretty cold, but after 15 minutes you feel nothing...Did this for three days for a hour and half each time. Hope to do the same thing this fall and get the fall colors...Such a beautiful shot and nobody to share it with... If anyone is going to the Canadian Rockies they should buy the book by Darwin Wiggett "How to Photograph the Canadian Rockies" it doesn't come any better. Full of tips and the best places to take the photos. This mans photo's are unreal... This shot was taken at Pyramid Lake..my favorite.....

Thanks for the wonderful commentary Ron, and I know the feeling of both spending days for the shot (Bosque del Apache for me), and of wishing I had someone to share it with. This is a gorgeous setting and the light on the mountain was worth the wait.
