An antique, 19th Century or earlier (much earlier) tsakli in real gold and mineral pigments depicting, within a gold lined blazing red sun disc nimbus, a gold-bodied offering goddess kneeling, holding in her right hand a gold-flaming green wish fulfilling jewel, her left hand in the gesture of dispelling fear. The gentle faced goddess has her hair tied in a chignon to the back of her head, which is topped by an inverted lotus tip, the remainder is tied in a club which hangs down her back, terminating with a gold finial. Her hair is held in place by a simple 3 pointed diadem and she wears a red under-robe which is patterned with tiny gold dots, a green edged buff overcoat completes her garments, as she kneels, enthroned on a large cushion. 7.8 x 9.5cm
