An antique 19th Century tsakli painting in mineral pigments depicting a garlands of severed heads threaded on twisted human intestines -symbolising the illusory nature of all phenomenon, the heads representing phenomena as form. Each face has individual features, and are in varying states of freshness (or otherwise). The heads are male, and represent the masculine principle of form, and are worn by wrathful male deities.
