An antique, 19th Century or earlier tsakli painting in mineral pigments depicting one of the 8 jewel ornaments of the Bodhisattvas - the crown. A diadem of 5 points each bearing a flaming 'norbu' - or precious jewel, 3 grouped in front and 1 to each side, set before the high chignon of the bodhisattva, which is tied in 'stupa form' by gold bindings studded with large corals and topped with a cintimani. The bodhisattva's celestial scarf drapes over the makara tail finials of the crown, flowing about below.
