Great composition and a stellar idea to present it in this well done mono combined with the perfect level of desaturated color. I love it! ~BV~

A perfect image for using areas of subtile color with the excellent value range. Mood conveyed with grittiness works so well in this image. Beautifully composed and captured. VV++

Love your careful framing and neat/thoughtful composition. The eyes have much to immediately explore and then there's the view through to the trees which I find equally compelling. Really quite a visual pleasure.

Not a place I would stay at but definitely one to photograph...VT!

The Bates Motel seems a step up. I love the squares in the composition. The tones make it seem even more creepy. Fabulous photo. V

Not quite sure I want to stay there but it's a great composition. V

Terrific comp. The processing really ups the impact for me.

Powerful image of a motel that looks like it should be on a military base. Perfect on an overcast day in monochrome. "VVV"

"Gritty" for sure - surprisingly no chips in the overhead plaster - curious that the pipe goes over rather than under :). Cool :) V

Nice shot1 Ten years ago I would have had to crouch a little bit to walk through there.

no large SUVs then...a gritty vision, and a timeworn inn for the really weary..

I really like how you did the selective (almost) color here! This motel definitely looks like it's been through some hart times. Nicely done, Marcia!
