Tasman Peninsula, Tasmania

These ruins are part of a historical convict site on the Tasman Peninsula,
nearby to Port Arthur. The convicts were forced to work underground in small
tunnels, bent over and in darkness. Punishment for not co-operating was
solitary confinement in a small, totally dark cell underneath the ground.
Very inhumane. This pic shows the chapel and cottages.
