I think this is a great capture - I love the ghosting of the wings! You are so lucky to have more than one type of hummingbird - I only see Ruby Throat here.

Judith, I think blurred wings are entirely appropriate. Implies movement, and those wings arew really moving. I think it is more effective than stopped wings. I think this is an excellent image;

What a beautiful shade of purple; great capture! The wings being out of focus just shows motion. Hummingbirds are ALWAYS in motion, so the wings are fine the way you photographed them.
