30052008 the rescue of Pig

Today a very friendly man came to visit me in order to install a new big white box for Mum and Dad
to wash their clothes in. There was lots of banging about and rustling of packaging which was very interesting.
When the man had gone away, Mum decided to test the new box. Imagine my horror when I saw MY TOYS going in!
First she put my Blue Dog inside, then Hippo, then Pheasant XXXIII*. Then Pig went in too!
Well, I wasn't having that, friends. Clearly I had to stage a rescue mission!
I managed to sneak Pheasant XXXIII out and hide him behind my chair. But when I went back to
rescue Pig, Mum caught me at it and very firmly put him back!
Now I'm sitting with my back to everyone in a sulk!

*We're not 100% sure if it's Pheasant XXXIII or Pheasant XXXIV... lost count!

I wouldn't be amused if my mum put my friends in the washing machine either!(although some of them could maybe do with a rinse...) ;-)

Looks like Mum got quite a machine for keeping your toys tidy. I'm not sure sulking will help this time, Pooch.

Well done Pooch, a good sulk always puts things right.

Oh, Pooch, you must really be in a trauma. It'll be o.k.--they're just going to get clean for you.

Our dogs are so smart. Rocky knows each and every one of his toys by name. He has a toy box with piles of toys. I can name one and he will dig and retrieve the one I request.

Oh look at Pooch !! I know what its like, Harry has a favourite teddy that he goes and finds every night and goes to sleep with his head on it, of all the toys he has, it HAS to be teddy. When I washed it he didn't like the "fresh" smell !!
