16122007 frosty sniffs

Dad did something very silly today. He left his camera at home when we went out for our walky.
What if I had decided to do something really important? What if I had caught a pheasant? How would
Dad have recorded it for posterity without his camera?
Oh well. Here's a shot from yesterday's frosty walky. I was on the trail of something here... can't
remember what now, but it certainly smelled very interesting. That's the good thing about winter walks.
The ground's a bit cold and hard on the old paws, but interesting smells linger wonderfully in still air!

Dad: I can't decide between the shot above or this un-treated one http://www.pbase.com/poochdad/image/90388711 ... Which do you prefer?

I like the other more but mainly because the other shows Pooch's fur a lot better. It does look color.

I like this shot best too, though it looks far too cold for me!!! You needs some little paw mittens or wellies Pooch!

I love this version but not because I think it looks colder or frostier. I don't actually think this one looks colder at all. Rather, I like this one because it looks like a really old photo whose colors have shifted and faded. Nice work.

Catch a pheasant...... Ha!

I remember that weather, when it hurts to breathe!

This one is definitely more atmospheric and brings out the frostiness.

This one. Treatment enhances the frosty feel of the landscape.
