10082007 burr!

Dad's had a bit of trouble 'rounding me up' this evening for my "brush and de-burr".
You see, although having a permanent fur coat is very practical in lots of ways (especially
compared to those stupid 'clothing' things humans have to wear) it isn't so good when all
the local ground-level plants are busily producing sticky seed pods as they are at the moment.
The seed pods stick to me when I'm on my walkies and get tangled in my fur unless removed promptly!
I know all that but it doesn't mean I have to like it!!

LOL!!! I love this... Pooch, you stand pretty tall in your back yard, hard to believe anything gets caught in that coat.

Love this moody shot, very atmospheric!
Know what you mean about the burr in the fur issue! When Jack was tiny we had no idea about it and let him play at the base of a tree that was dropping lots of nasty sticky things! lots of deburring required!

Pooch, Abby can totally relate to those darn stickers and leaves getting stuck in her fur. Great B&W shot. :)

You're a high maintenance chap these days--cockleburrs and cow poo..... But, aren't you having fun!

Maybe they jumped the gun with Daniel Craig. Pooch looks very foreboding in the shadows.

You look like you are in a scene from the Twilight Zone, Pooch!

Teddy has the same problem, even being as tall as he is! His long legs just seem to attract magnetically all seeds within three feet of where we walk. I think I should spray him with Scotchgard or something till the burr and sticky seed season is over! No point hiding from Dad Pooch, just get it over and done with and make life easier for you both....
