06082007 going for a run?

It's a complete mystery to me why humans always seem to be in a hurry.
Like this going for a run thing. Apparently the idea is that you run along without stopping.
No sniffing, no marking, no staring contests with cats.
Just running.
What's the point of that?! The cats'll think I'm running away!
Got to pause for a good sniff every now and then!

other sizes: small medium original auto

That gives Dad some time to take photos, sniff away Pooch - who wants to run!

Be glad you are not in California all the joggers here would drive you crazy.

I agree Pooch, stop and smell all the interesting stuff on your beautiful walkies. No point in running except maybe on a track as far as I can see.

I don't see the point either Pooch...you need to stop & smell the roses don't you.

I've no idea either Pooch, though our Holly runs a lot - mainly after bunnies.

Your little sniffer is going to wear out, Pooch!
Breland06-Aug-2007 16:01
You are right Pooch it is far better to just stroll along and enjoy the sights, sound and smells of the area.

Beautiful trail to take a sniff on.

Hey Pooch if you want to slow Dad down just run in circles around him so your lead wraps around his legs, lol!
Meggi Raeder06-Aug-2007 15:01
Yeah, you captured the sentiments quite well - let's slow down and smell the roses,
Meggi
