06042007 watching the fence

Dad's upstairs coughing and sniffing with a bad cold, and here I am sitting in a patch of sunshine in my garden.
It's warm and I'm comfortable, but I can't relax altogether.
You see, out there somewhere, behind the panels of the fence... something is moving.
There's silence for a while, but then a twig will break or I'll see a quick flash of sunlight on an eyeball.
It seems like everything's quiet and peaceful - just some shrubs moving in the breeze, or a bird hopping about in the shadows.
But I know it's a cat. I know it's in there somewhere. I know it's a CAT!

(dad: here's a ping for AnnLT and her mystery sighting of a pooch lookalike in California! http://www.pbase.com/fotografztoo/image/76706067 Thanks Ann! :-) )

You'd make a terrific guard dog Poochie. Lots of TLC for Dad - get better for Easter, the weather's brightened up just in time! Chris

I think Al-x is right, you should start diding, Dad might be mad, but just do a nice little pity face as you dont know why he is mad and you will not be grounded (even if your full of dirt).

He love you to much to be mad about you!

Ev, you've got a touch of the spring pollen allergies. Poor Pooch can't go roll in sheep poo today, either. And, the cat is probably laughing at you from behind the bushes.

Hope you're feeling better, Ev... Pooch, keep an eye out and don't let any cats in the yard.

There's a c*t started coming into our garden, it's a friendly little thing but don't tell Holly that, she makes it scarper.

Well Pooch untill dad gets better you will never know.
Listen harder, Pochmum is getting the lead.
