I was delighted this afternoon when Dad came home early despite all the work he says he's got to do. We were in agreement that it was just too beautiful a day to spend indoors doing boring things. Instead we went for a long walky across some local farmland and into the woods. There were lots of other humans about, walking or on horseback or riding those weird bicycle contraptions so it looks like Dad wasn't the only one to take an afternoon off. Thanks to all the rain yesterday there were lots of fresh puddles about for me to cool the old paws in. I wonder why Dad doesn't take off his shoes and cool his paws too?
