01012006 the source of all the trouble

Dad and Mum seem grumpy today. I think they are tired.
I was very busy guarding us from all the flashes of light and banging noises
that went on in the night. I even had to climb onto Dad and Mum's bed to guard them properly.

Of course I did lots of barking to let the flashes and bangs know I was there and to leave
my house alone! It took ages but it did the trick. The flashes and bangs went away after a
long time and we could all settle down for a couple of hours' sleep before it was time to
have breakfast.

I snore a bit and make whimpering noises in my sleep sometimes but I am sure Dad and Mum won't
have minded that - I expect they felt reassured to have me there to guard them.

I've caught up on my sleep this afternoon and I'm my usual self again, happy to get muddy
out on a walk with Dad. You'd think Dad and Mum would feel the same. But for some reason they are still tired!

(Dad: Yaaaaawwwn! ;-) Happy New Year everyone and best wishes from Pooch and his family for 2006!)

Nasty loud flashing things! We lost our Cat Jasper because of them, could have done with your help to scare them away.

This is a great portrait, Ev. I like the way the light falls on both you and the man. V.

Mum & Dad are so lucky to have such a great little guardian
dog! I think there'll be some very loud snores all round
with your family tonight! Lovely tender shot...

Good boy, pooch. We sure could have used you here at our house last night. The lights and bangs went on for hours. Happy New Year.

Poor Pooch I feel for you & your poor little ears...but I cannot stop laughing at the visions of Mum & Dad being grumpy. Between your antics & what Zak said on Bill Miller's daily my day has begun with the best laughs I could imagine !!

Happy new year to Mum and Dad, as for you Pooch.
Well, you can come with me and Sally to have that bark removed.

Getting the little feet clean so you can jump on the bed again, huh? You're a good little pup.

Nice shot! Java may not "lie in" but he snores right through fire works! Happy New Year!

Way to go Pooch! Rocky was on the alert as well last night. But of course right after going to bed at 12:30 am, Rocky decided he wanted to play with his squeaky toys.
