09122005 modelling my new name tag

Dad and Mum came home a few days ago with this posh new name tag - a blue bone. It makes
a tinkly noise when I run along so the cats can hear me coming now. Only fair
to give 'em a head start - right? ;-D

P.S. it has come to my attention (via some messages that several gentlemen and ladies have sent
to Dad) that some people out there think that a Dog Diary is a waste of a PAD and using a
5D to photograph me is a waste of a camera! WELL! All I have to say to those people is...
...if you don't like my PAD, then why look at it? I am sure there are plenty of other pics
to be found on pbase that you might like better. Go and look at them instead!

(dad: sorry we've not been around much - trying to clear the decks at work a bit
before our Christmas holiday at the end of next week.)

I look forward to your daily photo. Making a photo-a-day gallery of one dog is not an easy feat. What is great about looking at other's photos on pbase is that there are so many different ways of looking at our world, and so many different things that people want to capture on film. I love the variety, and I love your pooch gallery.

Let me say that if your PAD has brought a smile or tear to even one person, even if it's only yourself, then this has all been worth it. I for one have been blessed by your pictures, Pooch, Dad and Mum, and I hope you keep up the good work. Phooey on those other folks!
Pooch, you look so proud and adorable!

Pooch, I don't think it would be out of line for you to growl and chase those awful people out of your dad's galleries. And if you join forces with the cats in your neighborhood, all the better! ;-) Your dog diary could never be a waste of a PAD, and as for the camera comment, the only thing I can think of is jealousy. The nerve of some people!

If Pooch don't rate da heavy equipment, who does? I like his ambivalence to the critics, staring off in another direction. Heh.
Enrique10-Dec-2005 03:44
Phooey on the narrow minded critics. They are jealous they don't have a 5D or a Pooch! If they did, they wouldn't know what to do with either.

Personally, I like Pooch and my wife likes him even more. It is the highlight of the dull, dreary and meaningless existence we suffer through in slow agony in the desert. Why if it wasn't for Pooch, we don't know how we could go on.

(Wife here: Melodrama aside, Pooch & Co. really are one of the highlights of my day. Borrowing from Jon Stewart and The Daily Show, Pooch & his Pooch-parents give me my "moment of Zen." Thanks!

What I don't understand is why Poochdad isn't using an 8 x 10 view camera to photograph you. You are certainly a worthy subject. ;-)

I look forward to seeing your smiling (well most of the time) face every day, pooch. Dad's new 5D does a beautiful job of capturing your charms. Let those people go look at other things, I'd rather look at you.

Boo to the naysayers! Moyra and I look forward to the new Pooch images - as well as the very keen commentary. Those who think the 5D is wasted have obviously not seen your other amazing galleries (no offense to Pooch).

Only the best for a star such as you, Pooch...and who cares what the non talented dopes have to say. Herb said it...delete button

Never seen you looking so handsome as in this shot Pooch. Hope things do wind down for Christmas, Dad.

It is not a waste of time. SHEESH!! I love Pooch and look forward to more of the diary!

I like the new tag!;-)

Pooch looks very proud of his new tag.
Sounds like some people are jealous of your 5D. Pooch is very deserving
of the 5D.
Gayle P. Clement09-Dec-2005 16:04
I think this is a fine use of a 5D. Pooch is a beautiful subject.
Zak09-Dec-2005 16:02
I get the nice guests stopping by looking at my awful pics too...
They're only jealous ;-)
Nice Shot!
northstar3709-Dec-2005 14:28

joanteno09-Dec-2005 14:18
Pooch deserves the 5D. Great pose! My favorite saying is "to avoid vexations of the spirit!" Very nice shot!
Guest 09-Dec-2005 14:07
Nice photo, you're really modelling Pooch and you do it so well :-)
And those stupid people who write messages to tell such stupid things should return back to their own business :-(
Many people loves you and the pictures Dad and Mum take of you Pooch ;-)))))
