Dad and Mum and I went to do our favourite walky at sunrise this morning. I was full of joy,
rushing about and doing puppy things. It's one of those days when everything is wonderful and
it's good to be alive. Best of all, there was a frost on the ground - so nooooo bath
necessary as I didn't get muddy!

Dad and Mum seem very subdued and unhappy though. Apparently they saw a notice pinned to a gate
that our local city council are turning this beautiful footpath into a 13metre-wide road open to
all traffic. Why? This is a country area - they don't need more roads. Many of the beautiful old
trees will have to come down and this area of beauty and peace will be spoiled.
We won't be able to walk up here any more.
WHY do humans always manage to come along and destroy beautiful things?
