23072005 admiring the barley harvest

The farming humans have already started harvesting the barley in this field.
I found it very interesting the way it rustles in the breeze. There could be
anything lurking in there, among the grasses, using the field as a secret highway,
and it's my job to sniff 'em out! It's lucky some of the crop was mown because it
was all taller than I am and otherwise I would not have been able to see anything!

(dad: thanks for your kind words yesterday regarding my operation... still waiting
to get a date through for it, but it should be in the next few weeks so I'll keep
you posted)

Great textures and composition.

I love this one, with this golden barley and that white Pooch, always expressive, the Pooch.
I like the composition ;-)

I imagine there's a little field mouse or two running around in there, Pooch. Gee Dad, I'm sorry to hear your going to be " out of order " for a short time.

Pooch seems to be enjoying his walk thru the golden fields.

Huh. Pooch looks as good against the amber waves of grain as he does amid the verdant fields of green

He looks stubborn, good luck with your surgery

I bet he'd like to be of the leash and hunting rabbits in the crop!

The color of the barley is magnificent and the little touch of green is nice. I notice Pooch is sitting in a row and not on the stubble, smart little dog.

He looks like he planted himself in the field, as well! Love the golden color in this shot.
