The wife's amaryllis has chosen the shortest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere) to open one of its buds and
prepare to flower. A pleasant sight at Midwinter! Hopefully it will be in flower for Christmas.

Thanks to those who asked about my Ebay bargain D700! I am enjoying it very much so far. It produces
very accurate colours and quite low grain even at high iso. I wish I had bought one years ago!
(but I must remember not to leave it anywhere and let it get stolen this time!)
