Our thoughts have very much been with the people of New York, after the horror they experienced
yesterday. Especially the children. Yet another pointless act of hatred. Such sadness.

Here's another photo from our trip to the gardens last weekend. I wasn't able to identify this
rose, which seemed to be cheerfully flowering despite the lateness of the season. Perhaps one
