Dad: another photo from yesterday as Pooch has been at the vet's all morning.
His check-up yesterday went well. However the vet wanted him in to do a couple of lab tests.
Good news is we seem to have beaten the dermodex after four months of treatment.
As this is usually considered an 'end of life' disease in older dogs we are delighted.
Thanks to all of you for your kind support, especially when we were considering what to do.
Those who said to go with our hearts and ignore the vet's advice to put him down were quite right.
And that's a lesson learned: never ignore a strong gut feeling.
There're only two experts on Pooch - and the vet isn't one of them. ;-)

As for what the future holds... If Pooch is happy, so are we. That's it. :-)
