15th September 2013

Here's another photo from our trip to the air museum with Grandad. I had a very good sniff of this lawn next to the chapel,
because there were some very rabbitty smells coming from somewhere!
I didn't get to the bottom of it because Grandad became a bit nervous.
Grandad said that when he was in the RAF, not even officers were allowed to walk on the grass.
He kept expecting a drill sergeant to appear from somewhere and tell me off!

Pooch is sniffing away, but be careful of that drill sergeant! V

A great big lawn for sniffing. Beautiful scene with the flowers and iconic telephone booth. V

Grandad didn't want to see you tossed in the brig, Pooch. When the Brits emigrated to Australia post WW11 there were many housed in those hangers throughout the country while they waited for relocation to their new homes and towns...it must have been difficult for families coming to a strange, hot and dry land.

I'm fascinated by the red phone booth here! ;)
Better not leave any "presents" on the grass Pooch!
