Wish me a happy birthday today, friends! Apparently I am ten years old today.
Mum came home from work early to give me a special birthday walky. Then, when Dad got home all three of us went to the pet shop
together! Dad & I strolled up and down the aisles of toys, collars, beds and delicious treats for me to choose my own birthday present.
In the end, I decided on a new feeding-bowl with HUNGRY written on the side in big letters, and a packet of 'Joint Care' treats for mature pooches.
I also spent a fascinated five minutes beside the floor-level French Lop rabbit's cage, making the acquaintance of the very large, black
rabbit inside! The rabbit was very friendly indeed and very interested to see someone at his level, instead of having to watch lots
of boring pairs of legs and feet going by. He came rushing across his cage to see me and we had a sniff and a tail wag (at least I did).
I wanted him to come home with us, but Dad decided that the friendship might not persist if I got hungry!
Now I'm sitting on my sofa waiting for my birthday supper to be ready. What a great day, friends!

Dad: sorry for the lack of poochdates recently, blame other family commitments, a poorly foot and pressure of work. Will try to do better soon!
...And don't worry about the cake - it was a toffee cake, not chocolate, and Pooch was only allowed a very small taste. :-)
