The current church dates from 1318 and has a fascinating interior for anyone interested in social history, as it reflects the
different tides of commerce and prosperity in Tavistock through several hundred years. We found the Elizabethan effigies of Judge
Glanvill and his wife very interesting, as well as the original copy of Erasmus' "Paraphrases of the New Testament"
which the church has possessed since 1561.
Some of the ruins of the medieval Abbey can be found in the churchyard.
